Book Consultation

No matter if you’ve finished writing your book and want help cleaning it up, looking to get it published, or both, I can help.

Manuscript Consultation

I can read your manuscript, make extensive notes, and let you know that I think about the story structure, plot, writing style, clarity of wording, and likelihood of publication as-is. We can also discuss strategies for getting published that won’t find in any how-to books.

Includes:

  • Reading entire manuscript, up to 100,000 words.
  • A 90-minute phone consultation about what I find (recorded for you).
  • A 30-minute follow-up consultation one week later, after the feedback has had time to fully sink in.
  • A written breakdown of my high-level thoughts, suggestions, criticisms, and praise.
  • An optional reduced-rate look at any rewrites you may do.
Additional:
- includes written breakdown of my findings
- looking at rewrites will be at a reduced rate, and based on the amount of material to be reviewed
- hire me as a ghostwriter, and this money will be credited towards that project

Preparation for Publication

When you’re ready to find a publisher, I can help you to create a submission packet for publishers that will not only get you noticed, but get you the contract you want. This service includes the creation of:

  • Author bio
  • Selection and editing of two sample chapters
  • Book Summary
  • Chapter Summary
  • Marketing Document, including comp titles, target audience, and author resources
  • Promotional plan
  • List of most likely publishers for the book
  • Access to my personal list of agents and publicists

Investment:

Varies depending on how much of this work is done by me, and how much by the author. Please contact me to get a specific estimate based on your book idea.
